Description

  • Build and maintain AWS infrastructure using services including ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora, ALB, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, and S3.
  • Operate production Aurora/PostgreSQL databases, including multi-AZ failover, read replicas, and replica-lag monitoring.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Build and manage containerized applications and CI/CD pipelines using Docker and ECS/Fargate.
  • Automate deployments and validate rollback procedures through regular rollback drills.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, observability, load testing, latency SLOs, and error budgets.
  • Apply security, vulnerability scanning, secrets management, compliance, and infrastructure-hardening practices.
  • Support SOC 2 or similar audits, client security reviews, incident response, on-call rotations, and root-cause analysis.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, or DevSecOps roles.
  • Strong hands-on AWS experience, particularly with ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora, ALB, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, and S3.
  • Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation, Docker, ECS/Fargate, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience operating large, complex systems and production PostgreSQL databases.
  • Experience with OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, or similar observability tools, plus k6 or comparable load-testing tools.
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning, secrets management, compliance practices, and SOC 2 or similar audits.
  • Ability to support incident response, on-call rotations, root-cause analysis, and US business-hour overlap.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Strong ownership, accountability, problem-solving, attention to detail, client focus, and adherence to best practices.
  • Preferred: experience with S3 Object Lock, secure multi-tenant systems, database migration tooling, expand/contract schema changes, or audit-heavy industries.
