Description

  • Establish and maintain enterprise-level data management practices aligned with Level 4–5 CMMI target operating maturity.
  • Identify authoritative data sources and standardize data definitions across OAA applications and reporting tools.
  • Resolve duplicate or conflicting data elements, metadata gaps, and reporting inconsistencies.
  • Develop and maintain data dictionaries, metadata documentation, stored procedure inventories, and report-to-data-source traceability.
  • Assist with data-related inputs for ATO documentation and audits.
  • Recommend master data management approaches during Task 2 portfolio review, subject to VA security and ATO requirements.
  • Propose data fabric or metadata-driven approaches for Government approval.
  • Work across SQL Server 2022 databases, SSRS reports, Power BI, SharePoint, and Power Apps to support data governance.
  • Support data management practices within the VA OAA Data Management Center.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field; no equivalencies accepted.
  • 5+ years of experience in data management, data governance, or data administration.
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks and best practices.
  • Experience with Azure Data Engineering, SQL Server, Power BI, SharePoint, and Power Platform data integration (preferred).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required federal Public Trust clearance.
  • Resume must be submitted in Word document format and include dates in each section, including experience, education, and certifications.
  • Candidates must complete the application form to the best of their knowledge.
