Description

  • Create and implement partnership strategies that improve integration experience, commercial viability, and seller value.
  • Source, evaluate, and secure product partnerships aligned with product priorities.
  • Lead negotiations across product terms, commercial terms, integration scope, and go-to-market commitments.
  • Structure partnership agreements that balance partner needs with Square's product objectives.
  • Lead partner initiatives cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Operations.
  • Provide structured partner feedback and market insights to inform product and go-to-market decisions.
  • Own the overall integration experience and measure success through adoption and usage.
  • Use data and insights to refine partner strategy and execution over time.

Requirements

  • 9+ years of business development or partner management experience, preferably at an innovative commerce or payments company.
  • Demonstrated success managing product partnerships and programs.
  • Proven ability to build C-suite relationships and influence decision makers across external organizations.
  • Strong understanding of commercial contracts and complex negotiating dynamics.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity within an evolving product environment.
  • Interest and experience working closely with multiple product and engineering teams for a single partner.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally internationally for internal and external meetings.
  • BS/BA required; MBA or Master's degree preferred.

  • Starting base salary range of $198,000-$297,000 USD for Zone A, $184,200-$276,200 for Zone B, $174,200-$261,400 for Zone C, and $164,300-$246,500 for Zone D.
