Description

  • Prototype, implement, and iterate on gameplay content including game flow, interactable objects, player abilities, event hooks, scripted sequences, tutorial systems, and bug fixes.
  • Collaborate with artists and designers to improve gameplay content implementation and achieve the best possible end result.
  • Work with engineers to improve design workflows and translate gameplay intentions within performance and technical constraints.
  • Partner with producers and team leadership to assess requirements, provide effort estimates, and share progress updates.
  • Support the development and execution of gameplay for the new project.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in game development, including 2+ years in Technical Design.
  • Strong proficiency with Unreal Engine 5.
  • Experience with Blueprint scripting, gameplay implementation, debugging, and complex gameplay systems.
  • Confidence and familiarity with modern text-based scripting languages.
  • Experience shipping at least one product, ideally an exploration and/or horror game.
  • Self-directed and able to thrive in a highly dynamic, technical environment.
  • Strong interdisciplinary collaboration skills, including verbal and written communication.
  • Experience developing or playing games with a cooperative gameplay focus (preferred).
  • Passion for creating high-quality gameplay experiences and new ideas (preferred).
  • Interest in modern horror exploration games and entertainment media such as comics, movies, or novels (preferred).
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and reside in Canada.
