Description

  • Develop and maintain Maya- and Unreal-based pipelines for animation, rigging, and content export workflows.
  • Produce high-quality gameplay animation that fits the established style and creative direction.
  • Animate both humanoid characters and mechanical assets in a sci-fi setting.
  • Take direction from the Art Director to maintain a coherent visual aesthetic throughout the project.
  • Collaborate with technical artists to identify and fill gaps in pipeline and tools.
  • Work with 3D artists to create smooth handoffs between asset creation and animation setup.
  • Collaborate with production to provide estimates and timelines for asset delivery.
  • Rig, skin, and export animated meshes into Unreal Engine.
  • Support quick iteration and problem-solving during the animation production process.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in technical animation and gameplay animation for games.
  • Strong knowledge of rigging workflows.
  • Experience with Maya and Unreal Engine 5.
  • Familiarity with game-ready skeleton design, skinning, and animation scene structure.
  • Comfort working in Perforce-integrated pipelines and managing scene referencing/export workflows.
  • Ability to work through quick iteration and problem-solving challenges.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada and reside within Canada.
  • Experience manipulating Unreal camera rigs and setups (preferred).
  • Passion for games and/or film and cinematography (preferred).

  • Salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 per year.
