Description

Work under Art Leadership to maintain artistic consistency and follow established IP aesthetic guidelines.
Create narratively compelling environments through thoughtful prop placement and environmental storytelling.
Collaborate with designers, lighting artists, and other art team members to ensure levels are built cleanly and efficiently.
Use existing assets and materials creatively to change the look and feel of spaces efficiently.
Maintain a cohesive environment style with attention to detail, scale, composition, and technical limitations.
Work cross-discipline to ensure levels and locations meet gameplay and narrative requirements.

Requirements

3+ years of experience as a level artist working in-engine.
A strong portfolio showcasing previous in-engine title or project work.
Ability to collaborate closely with others and take constructive feedback.
Strong sense of scale, proportion, and composition.
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
Passion for environmental storytelling.
Passion for grounded, immersive science fiction is preferred.
Experience working in proprietary engines is preferred.
Solid grasp of PBR workflows using Substance Painter and/or Designer is preferred.
Proficiency with hard-surface modeling software such as Maya, Blender, Plasticity, or equivalent modern authoring tools is preferred.
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and reside within Canada.

Benefits

$80,000 - $90,000 annual salary.
Temporary full-time contract role (8 months).
