Description

  • Define and evolve the target-state enterprise systems and data architecture across major business domains.
  • Lead discovery and rationalization of function-level and shadow IT stacks.
  • Document current-state architectures and identify overlap, risk, and modernization opportunities.
  • Design and govern architecture patterns for regulated multi-environment operations.
  • Partner with Cloud & Infrastructure and Security & Compliance teams on infrastructure and security implications.
  • Define approved integration patterns across business systems, data platforms, and domain technologies.
  • Guide decisions on where sensitive, controlled, or regulated data and workloads should reside.
  • Provide architectural oversight for cross-domain strategic programs such as ERP implementation and data platform modernization.
  • Establish architecture review practices, reference architectures, and reusable standards.
  • Coach engineering teams on enterprise architecture principles through reviews, forums, and hands-on guidance.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of relevant experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or senior architecture roles.
  • Experience shaping enterprise technology landscapes across applications, data platforms, and integration patterns.
  • Experience in regulated, security-sensitive, or government-adjacent environments.
  • Experience with hybrid or multi-environment architectures, such as commercial plus government-hosted or cloud plus on-prem.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns and trade-offs between APIs, eventing, batch movement, replication, and system coupling.
  • Ability to work effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, security/compliance, and infrastructure leaders.
  • Strong judgment, communication, and facilitation skills in ambiguous environments.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP, SAP, or another major enterprise platform (preferred).
  • Experience with modern cloud data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake (preferred).
  • Experience leading architecture rationalization or modernization in decentralized organizations (preferred).
