Description

  • Lead Brazilian tax compliance, reporting, and planning across IRPJ/CSLL, PIS/COFINS, and applicable ISS/ICMS matters.
  • Prepare and ensure timely submission of ECF, ECD, DCTF, EFD-Contribuições, and other SPED obligations.
  • Manage tax audits, inspections, assessments, and interactions with tax authorities.
  • Monitor changes in Brazilian tax legislation and assess their business impact.
  • Drive tax optimization strategies while maintaining compliance with business objectives.
  • Oversee tax provisioning and effective tax rate management.
  • Lead the monthly closing process under BR GAAP/IFRS and ensure the integrity of financial statements and internal reporting.
  • Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Support external audits, regulatory reporting, and compliance with relevant authorities such as the Central Bank, CVM, and SUSEP as applicable.
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, and senior leadership on regulatory matters, new products, expansion strategies, and financial/tax insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field.
  • Strong experience in Brazilian tax, which is mandatory.
  • Proven experience in tax compliance, financial reporting, and regulated environments.
  • Experience managing audits and dealing with tax authorities.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to navigate complex and evolving regulatory environments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving business.
  • Experience with international tax, preferably in LATAM, is a nice to have.
  • Exposure to fintech, payments, crypto, or cross-border structures is a nice to have.
  • Knowledge of transfer pricing and inter-company flows is a nice to have.
