Description

  • Lead the design and development of new instant messaging features to meet high concurrency, performance, scalability, and reliability requirements.
  • Build and maintain microservices based on Spring Cloud, including service discovery, configuration management, load balancing, and traffic governance.
  • Design and optimize storage and retrieval architectures for massive message datasets to ensure stable and efficient data operations.
  • Develop and operate large-scale data pipelines to analyze and process message data to inform product decisions and improve system efficiency.
  • Drive performance tuning and throughput improvements across backend systems.
  • Respond to and resolve production incidents and lead major refactoring efforts to improve system stability and availability.
  • Own end-to-end delivery and operational readiness of backend services for the instant messaging product.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience building or maintaining instant messaging platforms (e.g., WeChat, QQ, Telegram, WhatsApp, Slack) or similar real-time communication systems.
  • Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot and experience with Spring Cloud microservice patterns.
  • Practical familiarity with distributed systems and Linux-based production environments.
  • Experience with Redis sharding and database sharding strategies.
  • Experience with Kafka and message queue (MQ) systems.
  • Proven ability to independently design, deliver, and operate high-performance, high-throughput, highly available backend systems in production.
  • Deep understanding of database storage engines, indexing, partitioning/sharding strategies, and real-world performance tuning practices.
  • Experience handling production incidents and leading major refactoring or reliability improvement efforts.
