Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain login, registration, and account security applications across web and mobile clients.
  • Build the in-house AI facial recognition security product for KYC verification, liveness detection, and face matching.
  • Implement authentication capabilities such as passkeys/FIDO2, authenticator apps, security keys, SMS/email verification, and biometric flows.
  • Own the multi-factor authentication orchestration layer, including verification strategy, step-up logic, and user-level customization.
  • Collaborate with the AI algorithm team to integrate facial recognition and other model capabilities into frontend and backend systems.
  • Maintain shared security component libraries and authentication SDKs used across the company.
  • Develop and operate the Node.js server-side layer, including SSR, route guards, session validation, redirects, and localized routing.
  • Build and refine the BFF layer that aggregates security services and converts errors into user-actionable results.
  • Implement platform-specific behavior for web, mini program, and low-end device targets while keeping shared code cleanly separated.
  • Drive engineering quality through testing, instrumentation, observability, and improved build/local development workflows.
  • Use funnel and event data to identify drop-off points and optimize login and verification flows.
  • Collaborate with product, design, risk, support, backend, iOS, and Android teams to deliver sub-domains end to end.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 3–8 years of frontend or full-stack engineering experience on consumer-facing products.
  • Strong web fundamentals including HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, browser rendering, networking, caching, and performance optimization.
  • Deep proficiency in React 18+ and TypeScript, including state management and complex multi-step flow orchestration.
  • Production Node.js experience with SSR or isomorphic applications, BFF layering, API aggregation and caching, and server-side debugging.
  • Ability to model complex, branched, stateful, interruptible, and resumable authentication flows as testable reusable models.
  • Solid engineering practices including modular architecture, component design, unit and E2E testing, CI/CD, and safe shared-library versioning.
  • Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Copilot.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for diagnosing production issues, compatibility problems, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Fluent Mandarin and effective English communication in a distributed, cross-timezone environment.
  • Experience in AI or computer vision companies in frontend or full-stack roles (preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with identity and authentication technologies such as WebAuthn/FIDO2/passkeys, TOTP, OAuth 2.0/OIDC, JWT, risk engines, or device fingerprinting (preferred).
  • Experience building consumer-facing security, identity verification, or KYC products (preferred).
  • Experience replacing third-party vendor solutions with in-house systems (preferred).
  • Knowledge of AI model inference services, RAG systems, AI Agent architecture, or computer vision integration (preferred).
  • Cross-platform experience with mini programs, hybrid apps, or in-app webview bridging and debugging (preferred).
  • Experience shipping shared component libraries or SDKs with multi-entry bundling, tree-shaking, semantic versioning, and integration support (preferred).
  • Experience with internationalization and localization at scale (preferred).
  • Background in finance, payments, or another high-security domain (preferred).
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting, staged rollout, and A/B experimentation (preferred).
  • Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipeline experience (preferred).
