Description

  • Drive architectural decisions and design scalable, robust systems for trading and backend platforms.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership through architecture reviews, code reviews, and problem-solving.
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison with regulatory bodies and translate regulatory requirements into technical roadmaps.
  • Ensure system compliance with relevant frameworks and answer regulatory questions.
  • Manage delivery commitments, incident readiness, and operational excellence across teams and products.
  • Build trusted relationships with regulators, clients, and partners, and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with Product, Business, and Compliance teams to solve complex problems and align on mission-critical initiatives.
  • Continuously improve code quality, system reliability, and overall team capability.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop engineers while helping scale the engineering team and culture.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of software product engineering experience, preferably in cloud computing, SaaS, fintech, regulated environments, or eCommerce.
  • 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams.
  • Hands-on technical expertise in backend, infrastructure, or full-stack engineering.
  • Strong experience with modern tech stacks such as Java/Spring Boot, microservices, AWS, Kafka, and MySQL.
  • Demonstrated experience working in regulated industries or with compliance frameworks.
  • Ability to understand and translate regulatory requirements into technical solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills across executives, regulators, and cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to mentor, coach, and develop high-performing engineers.
  • Strong experience designing scalable systems, managing cloud infrastructure costs, and leading large technical initiatives from concept to production.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools and modern development practices.
  • Bilingual English/Korean is required to coordinate with overseas partners and stakeholders.
