Description

  • Lead and grow the CloudOps (Platform & DevEx) team with clear direction, coaching, mentorship, and purpose.
  • Build and evolve paved paths for service creation, deployment, observability, and operations.
  • Improve developer experience through container workflows, repo templates, CI/CD automation, observability defaults, and internal tooling.
  • Stabilize and enhance the Windows-based Cloud Development Environment for legacy .NET Framework development.
  • Drive modernization of legacy infrastructure and promote scalable, reliable, automated platform patterns.
  • Partner with product engineering teams to identify friction, remove obstacles, and improve workflows.
  • Define and measure developer experience outcomes using frameworks such as SPACE.
  • Collaborate with Security to establish guardrails and secure defaults without becoming a gatekeeper.
  • Promote platform thinking and cultural change across engineering teams.
  • Manage vendor relationships, infrastructure costs, and platform resourcing.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of engineering experience, including 3+ years leading platform, cloud infrastructure, SRE, or DevOps teams.
  • Strong experience with AWS, including compute, networking, IAM, storage, and databases.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
  • Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines and secure deployment workflows, including GitHub Actions, OIDC, and artifact management.
  • Familiarity with modern observability practices, including metrics, logs, traces, and tools such as OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, Datadog, or Grafana.
  • Practical knowledge of containerized applications and developer workflows on Mac/Linux, including Docker, ECS, or EKS.
  • Hands-on understanding of how to balance security, reliability, and developer experience through guardrails and risk-based tradeoffs.
  • Experience modernizing legacy systems or leading large technical transitions is a strong plus.
  • A track record of building strong teams, mentoring engineers, and leading through ambiguity and change.
  • Curiosity about how AI can enhance developer workflows, observability, and tooling is preferred.

  • Salary range of $180,000 to $220,000 per year, with annual performance-based raises and bonus eligibility.
