Description

  • Own the design and implementation of data pipelines and the centralized analytics layer.
  • Consolidate 250+ transactional tables into about 10 analytic tables.
  • Transition data processing from weekly full refreshes to daily or near-real-time incremental loads using CDC.
  • Establish unified data definitions, metrics, KPIs, benchmarks, and governance standards.
  • Lead the migration to the centralized analytics layer and deprecate direct raw table access.
  • Partner with internal teams to enable self-service analytics and build data marts for benchmarking and experimentation.
  • Perform exploratory and statistical analysis for data validation and implement data observability and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with the Applied AI Engineer to design AI-ready data models for RAG and LLM applications.
  • Expand the data lake to ingest third-party sources such as HubSpot, Jira, and Zendesk.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of data engineering experience building and operating production pipelines and analytics layers.
  • Strong SQL and Python skills, with deep hands-on PostgreSQL expertise.
  • Deep experience in dimensional modeling and consolidating transactional schemas into analytic tables.
  • Hands-on experience with Change Data Capture (CDC) and incremental loading strategies.
  • Hands-on experience with the AWS data stack, including Athena, Glue, DMS, S3, RDS, and Lambda.
  • Proven experience establishing Master Data Management (MDM), metrics definitions, and data governance.
  • Hands-on experience constructing AI-ready pipelines for retrieval- and embedding-ready data.
  • Experience integrating SaaS tools such as HubSpot, Jira, and Zendesk into data platforms (preferred).
  • Experience partnering with AI/ML teams on feature stores and ML evaluation pipelines (preferred).
  • Familiarity with data observability and quality monitoring tools (preferred).
  • Background in multi-tenant SaaS, edtech, or compliance platforms (preferred).
