Description

  • Own international organic growth strategy across priority markets to increase user acquisition through search and AI-driven discovery.
  • Develop and execute answer engine optimization strategies across search platforms, including AI Overviews, blue links, and LLM surfaces.
  • Monitor how the brand and content appear in AI-powered search results and improve visibility and representation accuracy.
  • Lead the operational model for multilingual SEO/AEO content production with freelancers and agency partners.
  • Create AI-assisted, human-reviewed content workflows and maintain editorial quality standards across markets.
  • Drive international technical SEO initiatives, including site architecture, crawlability, indexation, hreflang, Core Web Vitals, and structured data.
  • Advise on international site structure decisions such as subdomain versus subdirectory strategy and URL architecture.
  • Build and manage a content refresh program to sustain rankings and answer engine presence in active languages.
  • Partner with creators and translators to increase output while preserving accuracy, brand voice, and regulatory compliance.
  • Define and report on KPIs for organic traffic, rankings, AI citation share, and user growth by market.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of SEO experience, including at least 2 years focused on international or multilingual SEO.
  • Demonstrated understanding of AEO principles and hands-on experience optimizing content for AI-driven search surfaces.
  • Experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar in content creation and editorial workflows.
  • Proven track record of driving organic growth in non-English markets.
  • Deep technical SEO fluency.
  • Experience managing editorial or content teams, ideally across time zones and languages.
  • Familiarity with content strategy and governance in regulated industries such as healthcare, finance, or legal.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort using GSC, Ahrefs, LLM visibility tools, and Looker.
  • Experience building AI content workflows with human-in-the-loop review at scale is preferred.
  • Familiarity with LLM training and how it affects content discoverability and citation is preferred.
  • Background in CMS internationalization, including hreflang, locale routing, and translation management systems, is preferred.
  • Understanding of E-E-A-T in regulated verticals is preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish, French, Dutch, or German is a strong plus.
  • Ability to work remotely on PST hours and travel to the San Jose office up to three times per year plus one company-wide offsite.
