Description

  • Lead business development efforts across the division to secure work in current and future market sectors.
  • Build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients as a trusted advisor.
  • Evaluate market trends and develop annual sales and business development plans.
  • Research and recommend new market areas to support geographic and discipline diversification.
  • Prepare business plans, budgets, and annual sales targets for review and approval.
  • Manage implementation of short-term and long-range division plans and monitor progress toward goals.
  • Oversee division operations, policies, and procedures to support financial performance and compliance.
  • Coordinate staffing needs, recruitment efforts, and cross-division workload distribution.
  • Develop, mentor, and grow leaders, successors, and management talent within the division.
  • Promote safety, quality management, and the company’s reputation through professional and civic engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical-related discipline.
  • Licensure or certification in the respective field preferred.
  • Progressive experience working directly with clients, developing relationships, and winning work.
  • Ability to lead, manage, mentor, and grow a dynamic team.
  • Strong communication, organization, people management, business development, and leadership skills.
  • Strong understanding of project financials and reporting, including chargeability, profit, and overhead.
  • Track record of understanding and adhering to contractual requirements.
  • Ability to participate in local civic and professional organizations such as ACEC, WTBA, WCHAWCPA, WAPA, CMAA, WTS, and similar groups to promote the company.
