Description

  • Lead the full biosignal algorithm development lifecycle, including requirements, data curation and labeling, development, validation, production, maintenance, and documentation.
  • Select and implement appropriate statistical, signal-processing, machine learning, or deep learning methods for each problem.
  • Improve internal machine learning tools, model architectures, and reusable code to accelerate experimentation.
  • Establish best practices for tested, documented, maintainable algorithm implementations, including unit testing, CI, and non-regression testing.
  • Present technical results to stakeholders and support algorithm use in client engagements.
  • Collaborate on client-facing projects to assess and shape the impact of deployed and future algorithms.
  • Work with data scientists, neuroscientists, engineers, and clinicians on brain and biosignal analytics.

Requirements

  • More than 4 years of industry experience in machine learning and deep learning, preferably in health sciences or another regulated field.
  • Proven experience bringing machine learning algorithms into production.
  • Experience with digital signal processing and statistics, with sound judgment about when not to use machine learning.
  • Proficiency with PyTorch or other deep learning frameworks for model training, development, and deployment.
  • Familiarity with modern deep learning techniques such as Transformers, Vision Transformers, large-scale modeling, and large-model training.
  • Experience with software and ML engineering practices including testing, version control, code review, documentation, Docker, CI/CD, and experiment tracking.
  • Experience with biosignals, medical imaging, or large time-series datasets, or willingness to learn these domains.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly to varied internal and external audiences.
  • Strong collaboration skills and willingness to participate in scoping, data preparation, validation, regulatory documentation, deployment, and client support.
