Description

  • Design, implement, and maintain highly available distributed infrastructure supporting the Basis DSP platform.
  • Operate and optimize systems processing hundreds of billions of daily transactions.
  • Drive automation and infrastructure-as-code practices to improve operational efficiency.
  • Improve observability, monitoring, and alerting across critical production systems.
  • Perform performance analysis and system tuning across Linux, networking, and application layers.
  • Lead incident investigation, root cause analysis, and reliability improvements.
  • Ensure security, resiliency, and scalability across infrastructure and services.
  • Partner with software engineering teams to improve system reliability and deployment processes.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation supporting production systems.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.
  • Strong Linux systems expertise, including Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS, or similar distributions.
  • Experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or SaltStack.
  • Strong understanding of system scalability and high availability architectures, including clustering, partitioning, and load balancing.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex production issues across system, network, and application layers.
  • Programming or scripting experience with Python, Bash, or similar languages.
  • Experience operating database systems such as MySQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
  • Experience with monitoring, observability, and alerting systems.
  • Experience managing infrastructure in cloud environments like AWS or GCP, as well as on-premises systems.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and protocols.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
