Description

  • Own Open-to-Buy planning for assigned departments, managing sales, inventory, margin, and turn targets.
  • Maintain, update, and refine forecasts in planning systems to reflect current trends and business needs.
  • Execute replenishment and order writing to keep inventory flowing in line with forecasts, targets, and capacity constraints.
  • Partner with Merchandising on assortment execution and day-to-day business decisions.
  • Own vendor forecasting and projections and lead regular vendor planning meetings.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain on inbound timing, inventory flow, and near-term execution needs.
  • Monitor weekly sales and inventory performance, identify risks and opportunities, and adjust plans accordingly.
  • Build bottom-up pre-season forecasts aligned to assortment strategies and budget goals.
  • Prioritize top-volume and top-registered SKUs to improve in-stock performance and customer experience.
  • Use data and AI-enabled tools to improve forecast accuracy and reduce manual work.
  • Identify process, system, and workflow improvements and recommend changes to Planning leadership.

Requirements

  • 6-8 years of experience in inventory or merchandise planning, ideally in e-commerce or retail.
  • Experience owning Open-to-Buy at the department or category level.
  • Strong knowledge of retail math, forecasting, and inventory planning best practices.
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze data, spot trends, and translate insights into actions.
  • Experience managing vendor forecasts, projections, and ongoing vendor communication.
  • Comfort working approximately 80% of the time in planning systems.
  • Strong communication skills and experience partnering with Merchandising and Supply Chain.
  • Highly tactical, execution-focused, organized, adaptable, and proactive.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Experience using AI in day-to-day work is strongly preferred.
