Description

  • Own the Registry experience end to end across the Babylist cross-platform ecosystem.
  • Translate company goals into design priorities, product strategy, and a 12–18 month experience vision.
  • Lead 3–4 product designers and build a high-performing design team.
  • Set and uphold the quality bar for UX, delight, accessibility, and product excellence.
  • Partner with engineering, product management, analytics, marketing, and merchandising as co-builders.
  • Plan and run generative and evaluative research to inform design decisions.
  • Use AI-native workflows to prototype, iterate, and ship work quickly.
  • Instrument design work and track whether it is moving the right metrics.
  • Build systems, rituals, and processes that enable quality and consistency across the team.
  • Help shape Design and Consumer Tech operating models, hiring bar, and craft standards as the organization transitions to AI-native product development.

Requirements

  • Experience leading consumer product design work across web and native mobile.
  • A strong portfolio of shipped product work that demonstrates craft, motion, transitions, and accessibility.
  • Ability to connect user needs, business priorities, and product strategy into a clear vision.
  • Experience using AI tools to prototype, explore, and iterate quickly.
  • Ability to conduct and apply generative and evaluative research.
  • Strong systems thinking across product flows, design systems, and cross-platform experiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, hire, develop, retain, and manage designers.
  • Comfort working hands-on in the codebase, data, and production-quality interfaces when needed.
  • Ability to communicate design rationale with clarity and use qualitative and quantitative evidence in decisions.
  • Interest in shaping AI-first design practices and adapting to changing team and business needs.
