Description

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to generate new Platform Prime business opportunities and achieve assigned territory/account targets.
  • Actively engage with existing Platform Core customers to understand challenges and prescribe Azul solutions.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through contract negotiation and close, consistently meeting monthly and quarterly targets.
  • Maintain and accurately forecast a robust pipeline of opportunities, including building a 3X pipeline.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales Engineers, Marketing, and Customer Success to deliver comprehensive product demonstrations, proposals, and post-sale support.
  • Communicate the value of Azul’s solutions to both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Drive contract negotiations to completion while following organizational deal qualification and sales processes.
  • Record and track all sales activity, progress, and outcomes in Salesforce.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of direct software sales experience.
  • Proven track record selling both on-premise and cloud-based software solutions into large enterprises and SaaS-centric companies.
  • Experience in key verticals: online retail, e-commerce, ad-tech, gaming, and financial services.
  • Significant experience selling into the infrastructure space (OS, JVM, Container) rather than just the application layer.
  • Confident experience partnering closely with Technical Sales Engineers.
  • Extensive experience selling technical products that require technical POCs.
  • Experience selling enterprise products based on Java-based open source is highly desired.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to evangelize new solutions where no existing budget placeholder exists and to conduct multi-level selling.
  • Proficiency with deal qualification methodologies (MEDDPICC preferred) and progressive use of industry sales tools and systems.
