Description

  • Engage agency leaders and drone program managers to design and improve UAS programs.
  • Support pre-sales through needs assessments, technical demonstrations, deployment plans, and testing and evaluation engagements.
  • Lead complex program implementations, ensuring operational readiness, FAA Part 107 compliance, and third-party integration.
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for drone operations, system configuration, and SaaS integrations.
  • Develop and deliver advanced drone training programs to support technical proficiency and long-term adoption.
  • Mentor Axon Air professional services managers and cross-functional partners.
  • Manage project scope, milestones, risks, and stakeholder communications using tools such as Smartsheet.
  • Communicate customer feedback, feature requests, and operational challenges to internal product teams.
  • Monitor UAS technologies, FAA regulations, and industry trends while contributing to product testing and recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in professional services, technical deployment, or UAS program management.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex technical deployments and customer-facing projects.
  • FAA Part 107 certification required; advanced certifications strongly preferred.
  • Advanced expertise with UAS platforms such as DJI, Skydio, SkyHero, or Fotokite; detection systems such as Dedrone; and drone management software such as DroneSense.
  • Experience with network infrastructure, data management, or SaaS integrations preferred.
  • Strong project management, organizational, consultative, communication, and stakeholder-influence skills.
  • Experience delivering in-person technical instruction in operational or high-stakes environments.
  • Ability to work independently and mentor peers or junior team members.
  • Willingness to travel weekly across North America, with potential international travel; familiarity with law enforcement, security, or military operations preferred.
  • Ability to work at elevated positions, climb, use hand tools, and lift objects.
