Description

  • Source and pre-transform accounting data from source systems, ERP, and finance tools to support bookings and close processes.
  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines for accounting and financial reporting workflows.
  • Design and automate reconciliations between source systems, ERP, and downstream reporting.
  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks and escalate recurring issues to the Financial Data Team Leader.
  • Refine requirements and manage the delivery backlog for reconciliation and pipeline work.
  • Build automation that reduces manual data manipulation for accounting teams.
  • Support month-end close by keeping data flows and reconciliations accurate and reliable.
  • Flag data quality issues and process inefficiencies, and work with Data Engineering to fix issues upstream.
  • Develop reporting for credit control, collections, working capital monitoring, revenue reconciliation, and transaction-level controls.
  • Apply consistent data definitions and help maintain alignment between source systems and ERP structures.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or Data Analytics.
  • Solid understanding of accounting processes, including close cycle, revenue recognition, reconciliations, and working capital.
  • Ability to translate accounting requirements into data specifications.
  • Comfort working across finance and data teams and engaging finance operations stakeholders.
  • Meticulous, detail-oriented, and strong in financial control and reconciliation work.
  • Ability to structure complex financial data problems and communicate them clearly to stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or an Analytics-related field.
  • Studying toward or holding AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent is advantageous, but not required.
  • Fluent English; an additional European language is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong SQL skills, including window functions, CTEs, and large transactional datasets.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI; Python is a plus.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial data structures.
  • Understanding of data pipelines and data modeling concepts; Finance Data Warehouse familiarity is a plus.
