Description

  • Develop new suppliers and buyers across manufacturing, recycling, and waste sectors.
  • Procure and sell recycled plastics, particularly PET and rPET, across global locations.
  • Develop purchasing contracts for regular volumes of waste and recycled materials.
  • Source new business through research, cold calling, networking, social media, conferences, and trade fairs.
  • Assess client suitability against strategy, quality requirements, and opportunity size.
  • Negotiate effectively to maximize margin and close deals.
  • Conduct site visits to qualify prospects, build relationships, and gather market intelligence.
  • Maintain detailed CRM records of all activities, customer information, and material requirements.
  • Provide market feedback and reports to management.
  • Contribute to standard operating procedures and active risk management.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of business development experience in raw materials supply.
  • Experience in recycled plastic or prime PET is an advantage.
  • Experience developing new accounts and long-term contracts.
  • Fluent English is required; multilingual ability is preferred.
  • Strong logical reasoning and the ability to appraise situations accurately.
  • Ability to anticipate opportunities and risks and respond quickly to changing priorities.
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills in speaking and writing.
  • Highly organized and able to plan and manage time independently.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Outlook, Word, and other MS Office products.
  • Able to follow internal procedures and policies, including CRM, admin, trial policies, and customer onboarding.
