Description

  • Design and execute analytical studies, protocols, methods, and analysis plans.
  • Contribute to concept proposals, scopes of work, budgets, and project plans.
  • Perform descriptive and advanced statistical analyses using large patient and medical or pharmacy claims databases.
  • Develop and author study reports and publications.
  • Independently manage workflows and contribute to research and analysis projects.
  • Collaborate with the policy analytics team to identify innovative client solutions.
  • Maintain compliance with Avalere Health policies, procedures, and mission.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, mathematics, statistics, data science, health policy, public administration, public policy, public health, epidemiology, or a related discipline.
  • 4+ years of experience in consulting, healthcare, academia, or the pharmaceutical or medical device industry.
  • Broad technical knowledge of health economics, policy research, and analytic study designs.
  • Experience designing and executing studies using large public and private administrative medical and pharmacy claims databases.
  • Proficiency with statistical software such as SAS, SQL, and/or STATA.
  • Working knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and/or econometrics.
  • Healthcare policy and analysis experience preferred.
  • Strong writing, project management, communication, presentation, problem-solving, analytical reasoning, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate in multidisciplinary teams.
