Description

  • Own the algorithm lifecycle from problem definition and data analysis through prototyping and production deployment.
  • Combine statistical methods, time-series modeling, deep learning, anomaly detection, recommendation systems, transformers, and inference techniques to extract insights.
  • Research, design, and build agentic applications on top of sensor time-series, text, image, and other data sources.
  • Engage with customers and collaborate with the product team to develop innovative solutions using new types of data.
  • Work with cloud-based big data platforms, distributed processing, LLMs, and agents to build production solutions.
  • Define and build guardrails, reasoning chains, planning workflows, embeddings, and stream analysis capabilities.
  • Build models directly into Augury’s products and support continuous improvement through iteration and learning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, infrastructure, and data engineering teams.

Requirements

  • M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in ML applications modeling time-series data and using ML-based vectorization and embeddings for insight and recommendation systems, including transformers.
  • 2+ years of experience with LLM and agentic applications, evaluation tools and workflows, fine-tuning, and AI workflow lifecycle tools such as LangSmith, CrewAI, and LangGraph.
  • Experience with embeddings and tokenization tools and methods such as BERT, w2v, FastText, FastEmbed, GloVe, GPT tokenization, TikToken, token validators, vector similarity, and search methods.
  • Proficiency in Python for model development, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Experience working on Agile teams with a fast-iteration and continuous-learning mindset.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with diverse cross-functional groups.
  • Ability to translate research into scalable, production-ready solutions.
  • Experience in anomaly detection and AI/ML is an advantage.
  • Experience in feature engineering-based signal processing is an advantage.
  • Experience optimizing API call costs is a nice to have.
