Description

  • Own the end-to-end production lifecycle for mobile and web games.
  • Manage multiple projects, schedules, milestones, risks, dependencies, and delivery expectations.
  • Lead game porting across mobile and other platforms with external development and porting teams.
  • Coordinate internal teams, developers, designers, QA teams, platform partners, and strategic partners.
  • Evaluate existing titles for mobile, web, porting, adaptation, and further development opportunities.
  • Support new game concept development, partner evaluation, technology selection, and production planning.
  • Translate concepts into clear scopes, requirements, production plans, milestones, and execution strategies.
  • Coordinate testing, bug tracking, certification, platform submissions, and release readiness for Apple and Google.
  • Build repeatable production processes, documentation, reporting, and portfolio best practices.
  • Explore practical applications of AI, game engines, and production technologies to improve development workflows.

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in mobile and/or web game production, including extensive mobile game shipping experience.
  • Proven experience managing games across the full product lifecycle.
  • Experience managing external development, co-development, and porting teams, including schedules, scope, quality, and delivery.
  • Ability to manage multiple games or projects in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Deep familiarity with mobile platform requirements, testing, certification, and Apple and Google submission processes.
  • Strong understanding of game design and experience collaborating with designers, developers, artists, QA teams, and partners.
  • Hands-on experience with game engines such as Unity, Godot, and Defold, plus experience across multiple development technologies.
  • Familiarity with mobile monetization, engagement, retention, and commercial product decisions.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and practical AI applications in game development or production.
  • Excellent project management, prioritization, communication, problem-solving, ownership, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience working with strategic partners and a proven record of delivering high-quality games on time.
  • Availability to work within Australian, New Zealand, Southeast Asian, Japanese, or Korean time zones.

Benefits

  • Target salary of $125,000–$140,000 AUD.
  • Remote role, with Melbourne as the ideal location but not required.
  • Opportunity to work on Atari games across mobile, web, and emerging platforms.
  • Potential to develop into a people leadership position as the Atari Mobile team grows.
