Description

  • Engineer gameplay systems and implement features and tests in C++ and Blueprints.
  • Prototype gameplay features in collaboration with design and engineering partners.
  • Identify potential problems and risks and propose solutions.
  • Share knowledge, mentor colleagues, and support teammates in your area of expertise.
  • Champion engineering quality through code reviews, automated tests, and release processes.
  • Plan, estimate, and prioritize engineering work.
  • Contribute to rapid iteration on technologies and processes that support systemic gameplay.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly across the team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience developing video games.
  • Solid knowledge of Unreal Engine.
  • Proven experience engineering gameplay systems.
  • Strong engineering and code design skills.
  • Problem-solving, debugging, and optimization skills.
  • Solid knowledge of C++.
  • Experience with AI tools such as GitHub Copilot.
  • Strong technical communication skills.
  • Ability to create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Experience with Epic’s Gameplay Ability System (GAS) is a bonus.
  • Experience building systemic games, including emergent mechanics, interlocking systems, simulation-driven worlds, sandbox titles, or co-op titles, is a bonus.
  • Experience with peer-to-peer and/or client-server multiplayer is a bonus.
  • Familiarity with Steam and/or Epic Game Store is a bonus.
