Description

  • Support leading cloud service providers and server/network OEMs in designing solutions using Astera Labs’ connectivity products.
  • Identify and understand customer requirements and translate them into solution proposals.
  • Provide hands-on design-in support for customer implementations.
  • Work with engineering teams to incorporate customer needs into the product roadmap.
  • Deliver results and technical feedback back to customers.
  • Drive innovation through direct customer engagement and problem solving.
  • Travel frequently to customer sites as needed.
  • Support business travel across Asia and North America as required.

Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree in engineering preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience working with cloud service providers and server OEM customers on complex SoC/silicon products for server, storage, and/or networking applications.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English.
  • Hands-on knowledge of high-speed protocols such as PCIe and Ethernet.
  • Experience with silicon/system bring-up and debug in customer systems.
  • Experience using lab equipment such as protocol analyzers, oscilloscopes, and traffic generators.
  • Strong background in high-speed board design and data center systems such as servers, JBOGs/JBODs, and networking switches/routers.
  • Intermediate Python proficiency for automating system validation and link optimization.
  • Ability to debug embedded firmware at the SerDes (SoC) or MCU level.
  • Strong working knowledge of high-speed interfaces at the physical layer and associated standards/debug.
  • Most recent experience with 12G NRZ signaling; experience with 25G NRZ/56G PAM4 preferred.
  • Experience developing, supporting, or working with PCIe ICs.
  • Experience with embedded software debug or development using firmware, drivers, and BIOS over PCIe technology.
