Description

  • Own incident detection and first response for availability, performance, and health alerts across APIs, sites, databases, fax/SFTP/SMS services, and other platform services.
  • Investigate degradations and outages, identify scope, and provide clear, accurate context to the teams responsible for resolution.
  • Document incidents in real time and produce post-incident summaries and root cause analyses (RCAs).
  • Create, tune, and maintain alerts that provide useful signal without excessive noise.
  • Build and refine synthetic probes for production and pre-production environments.
  • Develop dashboards that provide internal teams and Strategic Account Management with actionable visibility into platform health.
  • Identify gaps in observability coverage and propose improvements to monitoring posture.
  • Develop and maintain automation runbooks to reduce manual toil and contribute to the CI/CD pipeline for operational automation.
  • Produce monthly operational reports, platform availability metrics, and update KPI, SLA, and SOC 2 compliance evidence.
  • Manage vendor action items such as certificate renewals and compliance requirements, and communicate status across teams.
  • Investigate failure patterns such as SQL errors, API degradations, and service disruptions, and document findings thoroughly.
  • Map dependencies when onboarding new systems to the NOC and flag technology risks proactively.

Requirements

  • Experience with cloud infrastructure; Azure experience is required.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and observability platforms such as Sumo Logic, Azure Monitor, OpsGenie, or similar tools.
  • Ability to read and follow automation scripts in PowerShell, Python, or equivalent, including tracing logic and understanding script behavior.
  • Strong understanding of how applications interact with databases, networks, and on-premises/cloud components.
  • Experience with web services and APIs, including diagnosing availability and performance issues.
  • Familiarity with Jira and Jira Service Management for operational workflow and ticket tracking.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for operational documentation and incident communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across multiple teams with shared ownership and clear accountability.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and operational automation in a cloud environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with healthcare technology, specialty pharmacy, or regulated environments is preferred.
  • Experience with SOC 2 compliance evidence collection or similar compliance frameworks is preferred.
  • Comfort using and evolving AI-assisted workflows in an operational context is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SQL Server health monitoring or database observability fundamentals is preferred.
  • Background in DevOps or SecOps, or experience working closely with those disciplines, is preferred.
