Description

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive test strategy spanning functional, integration, performance, security, and compliance testing.
  • Create detailed test plans aligned with RMF/ATO requirements and federal security control validation.
  • Define test environments, test data needs, testing infrastructure, schedules, milestones, and pilot success criteria across 10 systems.
  • Coordinate testing dependencies across development, infrastructure, security, and vendor teams.
  • Test container platform deployments, infrastructure-as-code, load balancer configurations, network segmentation, high availability, backup, disaster recovery, and auto-scaling behavior.
  • Design and execute integration tests for data flows across 10+ source systems, APIs, orchestration workflows, and data transformation accuracy.
  • Validate Databricks pipeline processing, PowerBI report accuracy, and end-to-end business workflows.
  • Test and verify NIST 800-53 security controls, authentication, authorization, encryption, vulnerability remediation, audit logging, container hardening, and penetration test findings.
  • Design and execute performance tests under peak, sustained, and stress conditions, and identify bottlenecks and scaling issues.
  • Develop automated regression, compliance, and monitoring test suites integrated into CI/CD pipelines and produce test evidence, reports, traceability, and audit documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related technical field; relevant certifications and experience may supplement.
  • 5-7 years of experience in quality assurance, testing, or systems engineering roles.
  • 3+ years of experience testing complex cloud-based systems, preferably in AWS environments.
  • 2+ years of experience with automated testing frameworks and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent written communication skills for test documentation, defect reports, and status updates.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent testing workstreams.
  • Systematic, methodical approach to test execution and defect investigation.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with changing requirements.
  • U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability Determination is required.
  • Occasional travel of less than 10% may be required.
  • Preferred: ISTQB certification.
  • Preferred: AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Cloud Practitioner.
  • Preferred: Security+ or similar security certification.
  • Preferred: Experience with Databricks or PowerBI testing.
  • Preferred: Federal government contracting or DoD testing experience.
  • Preferred: Experience with test data generation and data masking for PII protection.
  • Preferred: Experience testing systems in federal, DoD, or highly regulated environments.
  • Preferred: Prior involvement in RMF/ATO processes with security control testing.
