Description

  • Conduct comprehensive budget analysis and forecasting to monitor financial performance and resource utilization.
  • Prepare and maintain budget reports, assessments, and financial statements to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop and implement financial plans for projects.
  • Identify opportunities for financial improvement and recommend strategies to strengthen budget management processes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations and accounting standards in all budget-related activities.
  • Support planning for the Budget and Contracts Office in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Adjudicate budget change requests.
  • Evaluate funding requests and provide recommendations to support financial health and efficiency.
  • Handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and follow required safeguarding and compliance procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis and budgeting, preferably within the federal sector.
  • Proven knowledge of federal financial management regulations and practices.
  • Strong data analysis skills, including advanced Excel usage (Pivot Tables, financial functions, IF, SUMIF, COUNTIF, CONCATENATE, and VLOOKUP).
  • Experience extracting data from government systems such as FFMS and organizing and analyzing the data.
  • Strong knowledge of Power BI.
  • This is a remote position, with occasional travel required for project needs, client meetings, team collaboration events, or training sessions.
  • Travel is expected to be less than 10% and will be communicated in advance whenever possible.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen due to federal contract requirements.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability Determination, depending on agency requirements.
