Description

  • Partner with the CTO and Engineering organization on R&D investment, resource allocation, productivity, and operating decisions.
  • Analyze cloud infrastructure economics by connecting architecture, products, customers, usage, capacity, and technical decisions to unit economics and gross margin.
  • Develop business cases and scenario analyses to inform investment priorities and technical and operational decisions.
  • Partner with Professional Services, Support, Training, and Customer Success leadership on margin, capacity, utilization, staffing mix, and cost-to-serve analysis.
  • Own budgets, forecasts, and performance outlooks for supported organizations, including risks and opportunities.
  • Connect operational drivers to gross margin, cost to serve, R&D investment, and product-level profitability.
  • Explain performance drivers and recommend actions based on financial and operational analysis.
  • Improve financial models, data quality, and FP&A processes to support more effective analysis and decision-making.
  • Share business insights with the broader FP&A organization to inform company-level forecasting, planning, and reporting.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, strategic finance, finance analytics, FinOps, or a related field.
  • Hands-on expertise in SaaS cloud infrastructure economics, including consumption drivers, unit economics, scalability, and gross-margin implications.
  • Experience in a $300M–$1B PE-backed or pre-IPO enterprise B2B SaaS company or comparable environment.
  • Experience partnering with Engineering, Technology, Product, or Tech/FinOps leaders.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS gross margin and cost-to-serve economics.
  • Exceptional financial modeling and analytical skills, including experience working with complex or imperfect operational data.
  • Ability to turn analysis into insights, clear recommendations, and an actionable point of view.
  • Technical curiosity and fluency sufficient to engage credibly with Engineering teams.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills with senior leaders in an individual-contributor role.
