Description

  • Define and lead the U.S. strategy for Academy Light as a scalable, repeatable regional model.
  • Set the community direction for the U.S. in alignment with NAM strategy while enabling regional relevance.
  • Identify priority and emerging markets and develop multi-year experience and expansion roadmaps.
  • Partner with NAM community and experience leadership to integrate regional programs into the broader ecosystem.
  • Develop market-entry marketing briefs and expansion plans for new regions, including sequencing, partnerships, and retail integration.
  • Align community strategy with retail expansion plans and store openings in partnership with Retail Area Directors and Real Estate teams.
  • Oversee execution of Academy Light and regional programs to ensure high-quality storytelling, experience, and brand alignment.
  • Lead planning and budgeting for U.S. community needs, including AOP and regional budget ownership.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the US West and US East regional teams with clear goals, KPIs, and ways of working.
  • Build and manage partnerships with guiding organizations, nonprofits, community leaders, athletes, ambassadors, and local influencers.
  • Track performance through KPIs, measure experience quality and market impact, and use insights to inform leadership decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary education in a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in experiential marketing, community programming, or brand marketing.
  • Proven experience leading multi-market programs and teams.
  • Experience with market expansion, go-to-market strategy, or retail/community integration.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence without direct control.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a changing business environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated success working cross-functionally with retail, wholesale, and brand teams.
  • Experience leading and inspiring distributed teams.
  • Experience with budget ownership, KPI tracking, and ROI analysis.
  • Understanding of the U.S. outdoor and community landscape.
  • Passion for the outdoors, education, and community building.

  • Salary range of USD $154,000 to $202,000.
