Description

  • Own supplier quality and manufacturing engineering activities for powertrain components.
  • Support and troubleshoot powertrain component testing, including acceptance, functional, performance, environmental, and stress testing.
  • Execute APQP/PPAP processes and ensure supplier black-box requirements are met through design verification and process validation.
  • Serve as a technical liaison between suppliers and internal teams including Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Program Management.
  • Review drawings, clarify technical requirements, and assess manufacturability for new product introductions and design changes.
  • Support supplier qualification, process validation, conformity, and compliance for certification-related engine hardware activities.
  • Evaluate supplier readiness and scalability for prototype, low-rate, and higher-rate production environments.
  • Manage digital traceability of BOMs and serial-number-level component data across the supply chain.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Supplier Quality or Manufacturing Engineering with a focus on powertrain components.
  • Strong preference for experience in aerospace, machining, engine, or rotating components.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Proven experience with acceptance test procedure execution and functional/performance bench testing.
  • Experience with environmental or stress testing for safety-critical engine hardware.
  • Strong command of AS9145 (APQP/PPAP).
  • Experience supporting FAA/EASA Type Certification (TC) or related quality oversight activities is preferred.
  • Experience managing suppliers of engine and powertrain components, including rotating hardware, fuel and lubrication systems, castings, forgings, and other safety-critical propulsion components, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with PLM and ERP systems for complex BOM management and serial-level traceability is preferred.
  • Experience with powertrain integration, installation, and validation at component and system levels is preferred.
