Description

  • Provision, configure, and maintain employee laptops and workstations across macOS and Windows environments.
  • Administer endpoint security policies and device lifecycle management across the fleet using tools such as Sophos and ManageEngine.
  • Serve as the primary internal IT help desk contact, triage tickets, and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and access issues.
  • Develop and refine support workflows and service-level expectations to improve employee satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Manage user provisioning, deprovisioning, and access across core SaaS platforms including Jira, Confluence, Slack, and Google Workspace.
  • Conduct periodic access reviews and apply least-privilege principles across internal systems.
  • Track software licenses, renewals, and hardware inventory, and coordinate procurement, shipping, and return logistics for remote employees.
  • Create and maintain internal IT documentation such as runbooks, onboarding guides, how-tos, and configuration records.
  • Collaborate with the IT Ops Distinguished Engineer on infrastructure projects, process improvements, tooling consolidation, and security hardening.
  • Review and approve internal AI tool usage requests in accordance with company policy and security guidance.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the United States and able to pass a background check; sponsorship is not available.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, or a closely related role.
  • Hands-on experience with MDM/UEM platforms such as ManageEngine, Jamf, or Intune.
  • Experience administering endpoint security tools such as Sophos, CrowdStrike, or similar.
  • Proficiency administering Google Workspace and Slack at an organizational level; O365 experience may substitute.
  • Administrative experience with Atlassian products such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across macOS and Windows environments.
  • Excellent written communication skills and ability to produce clear technical documentation.
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable managing competing priorities in a remote-first environment.
  • Preferred: experience in a fully remote consulting, professional services, or federal IT environment.
  • Preferred: experience with IT asset management and software license tracking.
  • Preferred: exposure to evaluating or governing AI tool usage in an organization.
  • Preferred: exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Preferred: IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Google IT Support, or ITIL Foundation.
