Description

  • Advise customers on the technical design, architecture, and implementation of Appian solutions in private cloud, on-premise, and government cloud environments.
  • Support the sales cycle by creating differentiated technical solutions, delivery roadmaps, proposals, and whitepapers.
  • Present integrated solutions and complex technical concepts to customers and other audiences.
  • Support configuration, testing, deployment, and operations of Appian applications using agile delivery practices and Appian best practices.
  • Advise clients on development practices, program management, governance, and delivery automation, including version control, configuration management, DevSecOps, and infrastructure automation.
  • Lead the definition and development of Appian Customer Success innovations and offerings.
  • Collect and review technical challenges with architects and distill them into common best practices and solutions.
  • Design Appian-based solution architectures for Army modernization initiatives across workflows, case management, process automation, and data orchestration.
  • Work with Army stakeholders, mission owners, system integrators, and technical teams to shape secure, interoperable architectures.
  • Support Army-focused capture, proposal, and customer advisory efforts by translating platform capabilities into mission-relevant solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience advising customers on government cloud computing platforms.
  • At least 10 years of multi-tier application design and architecture experience.
  • Experience architecting secure cloud hosting solutions for federal customers using AWS, GCP, and/or Microsoft Azure.
  • Leadership experience designing, architecting, or delivering enterprise-level cloud environments such as C2S, JWICS, or GovCloud.
  • Experience authoring federal proposals and whitepapers.
  • In-depth experience managing federal programs and projects and leading IT delivery using agile frameworks such as Scrum and SAFe.
  • Experience accelerating IT solutions under the federal government's Risk Management Framework preferred.
  • Experience designing and implementing DevSecOps pipelines and infrastructure automation frameworks using Jenkins, Puppet, Ansible, SaltStack, Cucumber, JMeter, or Fitnesse preferred.
  • Willingness to travel 10-15% to support customer engagements, including SCIFs.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to guide client enterprise architecture teams during the design and implementation of scalable solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to identify creative solutions.
  • Ability to identify and lead market offerings, corporate capabilities, and intellectual property development.
  • AWS, Google, or Azure certifications are a plus.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Certified Scrum Master or another agile certification required.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. government public trust and/or DoD clearance; TS/SCI with CI Poly strongly preferred.

  • Base salary range of $150,000 to $275,000 USD.
