Description

  • Advise federal customers on the technical design, architecture, and implementation of Appian solutions in private cloud, on-premise, or government cloud environments.
  • Support the sales cycle by creating differentiated solutions, technical roadmaps, and pre-sales proposals.
  • Present and explain integrated solutions and complex technical concepts to customers and other audiences.
  • Support customers through configuration, testing, deployment, and operations of Appian applications using agile delivery practices.
  • Guide clients on development practices, program management, governance, delivery automation, DevSecOps, and infrastructure automation.
  • Lead the development of Appian Customer Success innovations and offerings by incorporating emerging customer and industry requirements.
  • Collect and synthesize technical challenges with architects into common best practices and reusable solutions.
  • Support the creation and review of whitepapers, proposals, and other pre-sales materials.
  • Advise customers on integrating AI and generative AI capabilities, including LLMs, intelligent automation, and machine learning, into Appian-based solutions.
  • Lead enterprise data strategy and architecture, including data ingestion, storage, integration, analytics, governance, and audit-ready controls.
  • Develop and operationalize AI governance frameworks, including model risk management, explainability, bias mitigation, and continuous monitoring.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience advising customers on government cloud computing platform design and implementation.
  • At least 10 years of experience in multi-tier application design and architecture.
  • Experience architecting secure cloud-based hosting solutions for federal customers using AWS, GCP, and/or Microsoft Azure.
  • Leadership experience designing, architecting, or delivering enterprise-level cloud environments such as C2S, JWICS, or GovCloud.
  • Experience authoring federal proposals and whitepapers.
  • Deep experience managing federal programs and projects and leading IT delivery using agile frameworks such as Scrum and SAFe.
  • Experience accelerating IT solutions under the federal government's Risk Management Framework is preferred.
  • Experience designing and implementing DevSecOps pipelines and infrastructure automation frameworks using tools such as Jenkins, Puppet, Ansible, SaltStack, Cucumber, JMeter, and FitNesse is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel 10-15% for customer engagements, including SCIFs.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience guiding enterprise architecture teams during the design and implementation of scalable solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to identify creative solutions.
  • Ability to identify and lead market offerings, corporate capabilities, and intellectual property development.
  • AWS, Google, or Azure certifications are a plus.
  • PMP certification is preferred.
  • Certified Scrum Master or another agile certification is required.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. government public trust and/or DoD clearance; TS/SCI with CI Poly is strongly preferred.
