Description

  • Support pharma, biotech, medtech, and CRO clients throughout the sales cycle.
  • Translate customer needs into business value through persona-based storytelling and technical solutioning.
  • Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs and RFPs.
  • Collaborate with customers, partners, sales, product, marketing, and leadership as a trusted advisor.
  • Analyze requirements and lead customer presentations and technical discussions.
  • Identify how Appian fits into a customer’s broader organization and operating model.
  • Work with Appian’s product team on technical discussions and solution alignment.
  • Advise on complex life sciences challenges with innovative, strategic problem-solving.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years as a successful Pre-Sales Engineer or 6+ years in Professional Services/Consulting, with 3+ years focused on Life Sciences.
  • Deep and recent expertise in Life Sciences business processes such as Clinical Development, Quality Management, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, Manufacturing, or Medical Affairs.
  • Experience supporting digital transformation initiatives in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or CRO organizations.
  • Understanding of GxP environments, FDA regulations, 21 CFR Part 11, and validated system requirements strongly preferred.
  • Experience in an enterprise software sales role or a client-facing technology advisory role within a Life Sciences institution or ISV.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including customer interaction, requirements analysis, and presentations.
  • Technical depth to handle functional and technical aspects of RFIs/RFPs.
  • Familiarity with production environments, including application servers, web servers, and databases.
  • Ability to travel up to 70% to customer locations within the assigned region.
  • Advanced degree such as MS, MBA, PharmD, MPH, or PhD preferred.
  • Fluency in a second language, preferably Portuguese, preferred.
