Description

  • Support pharma, biotech, medtech, and CRO clients throughout the sales cycle as a senior Solutions Consultant.
  • Lead persona-based storytelling, technical solutioning, and business consulting to demonstrate Appian’s value.
  • Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs and RFPs.
  • Collaborate with customers to analyze requirements, run presentations, and discuss solution approaches.
  • Work with Appian product teams on technical discussions and solution fit.
  • Identify how Appian fits into a customer’s wider organization and transformation strategy.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives in Life Sciences environments.
  • Advise on complex Life Sciences business challenges with innovative problem-solving.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to sales, product, marketing, partners, and leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years as a successful Pre-Sales Engineer, or 6+ years in Professional Services/Consulting with 3+ years focused on Life Sciences.
  • Deep and recent expertise in the Life Sciences industry, including Clinical Development, Quality Management, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, Manufacturing, and/or Medical Affairs.
  • Experience supporting digital transformation in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or contract research organizations.
  • Understanding of GxP environments, FDA regulations, 21 CFR Part 11, and validated system requirements strongly preferred.
  • Experience in an enterprise software sales role or a client-facing technology advisory role within a Life Sciences institution or ISV.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including customer interaction, requirements analysis, and presentations.
  • Technical depth to handle functional and technical aspects of RFIs/RFPs.
  • Familiarity with production environments such as application servers, web servers, and databases.
  • Ability to travel up to 70% to customer locations within the assigned region.
  • Advanced degree (MS, MBA, PharmD, MPH, or PhD) preferred.
  • Fluency in a second language, preferably Portuguese, preferred.
