Description

  • Own AI/ML features from research and prototyping through production, monitoring, and iteration.
  • Design and build LLM-powered capabilities including categorization, summarization, reply generation, semantic search, anomaly detection, and agentic workflows.
  • Select, adapt, fine-tune, and deploy commercial and open-source models.
  • Build training, fine-tuning, and model-quality evaluation pipelines, including datasets, metrics, offline evaluations, LLM-as-a-judge, and A/B tests.
  • Develop RAG and semantic search systems using embeddings, vector storage, and retrieval-quality optimization.
  • Optimize production inference for quality, latency, and cost.
  • Track NLP and LLM advances, run experiments and proofs of concept, and convert promising approaches into product features.
  • Collaborate with backend, product, and platform teams on architecture and deliver secure, tested, documented code.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software development experience with strong production Python and asyncio skills.
  • 3+ years of hands-on ML/NLP experience delivering models to production.
  • Practical LLM experience, including prompt engineering, RAG, LoRA/PEFT fine-tuning, commercial APIs, and self-hosted models.
  • Experience creating model-quality evaluation processes, including metrics, datasets, pipelines, and A/B testing.
  • Proficiency with PyTorch and Hugging Face Transformers, Datasets, and PEFT.
  • Proficiency with FastAPI, SQL, and MySQL or PostgreSQL; SQLAlchemy experience preferred.
  • Experience with pytest and unit testing.
  • Upper-intermediate English or higher.
  • Preferred: experience with vLLM, TGI, Triton, GPUs, vector databases such as pgvector, LangChain, LangGraph, MLflow, or Langfuse.
  • Preferred: experience with Airflow or Prefect, AWS, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Kafka, classical NLP, open-source contributions, publications, or personal ML projects.
