Description

  • Lead the growth of Apex’s infrastructure services within a designated local market.
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to expand relationships with municipal, utility, and public-sector clients.
  • Use existing client relationships and market insight to establish Apex as a trusted regional partner.
  • Collaborate with divisional and regional leadership to align local efforts with Apex’s broader infrastructure strategy.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to municipal and utility clients on infrastructure priorities and funding mechanisms.
  • Identify and pursue new project opportunities, lead proposal development, and manage interview and negotiation processes.
  • Drive cross-selling of Apex’s environmental, construction, and compliance services.
  • Oversee delivery of municipal infrastructure projects, including water and wastewater treatment, distribution and collection systems, stormwater management, transportation, and civil engineering.
  • Ensure technical excellence, quality control, and adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop engineers, project managers, and technical staff to grow Apex’s local presence.

Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
  • 15+ years of experience in municipal infrastructure.
  • Registered Professional Engineer preferred in MA, CT, or NH.
  • Demonstrated success in developing new markets, securing key municipal clients, and achieving financial growth targets.
  • Strong record of mentoring, team development, and leading cross-discipline project teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with clients in a forward-thinking manner to drive growth and sustained performance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Desire to manage and mentor staff at all levels.
  • Experience with municipal infrastructure projects in water, wastewater, stormwater, transportation, or civil engineering is preferred.

  • Annual expected pay range of $195,000 to $220,000 USD.
