Description

  • Design and implement security and defense-in-depth controls to prevent and limit vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct advanced security research on Solana and other Rust-based smart contract platforms.
  • Collaborate with core contributors to perform in-depth internal security audits.
  • Work with external security auditors and top-tier third-party firms on security reviews.
  • Identify and mitigate vulnerabilities in distributed systems protocols and blockchain client software.
  • Communicate security risks, findings, and remediation approaches to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Uphold high standards of integrity, trust, and professionalism in security practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience related to complex distributed systems, on design, implementation, or testing.
  • Familiarity with modern infrastructure tools and testing approaches.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Previous auditing experience.
  • Experience working with fuzzing tools in Rust.
  • Rigorous testing standards and the ability to propose thorough iterative solutions to complex technical, architectural, or organizational problems.
  • Proficient English for success in a remote and asynchronous work environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment with strong self-management and organizational skills.
  • Preferred: familiarity with Rust-based smart contract platforms such as Solana, Cosmwasm, or NEAR, with a strong preference for prior Solana experience.

  • Annual base salary range of $180,000 to $300,000 USD for US-based candidates, depending on experience, skill, and location.
