Description

Develop, maintain, and enhance technical infrastructure for the Agave client within the Solana ecosystem.
Design and implement testing frameworks and methodologies to simulate adversarial attacks and uncover vulnerabilities.
Gather and analyze metrics to identify performance bottlenecks.
Work with subject matter experts to understand current and future performance requirements and goals.
Design, implement, and benchmark solutions that improve performance and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect reliable, scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions for the Solana network.
Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design through deployment.
Create detailed documentation and architecture designs to support standards and knowledge sharing across teams.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
3+ years of hands-on experience with core infrastructure software and distributed systems.
Strong proficiency in systems programming languages such as Rust or C++.
Experience with consensus algorithms, distributed systems, and blockchain technology is highly desirable.
Ability to analyze complex systems, identify issues, and develop effective, flexible solutions.
Knowledge of common security threats and best practices for securing consensus processes.
Experience with performance profiling and optimization techniques.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills in a collaborative environment.
Familiarity with Linux, systems automation tools, and systems architecture (preferred).
Understanding of networking and distributed systems architecture and principles (preferred).
Ability to design secure protocols, software, and algorithms that minimize trust requirements (preferred).
Self-driven, research-oriented, and able to learn independently (preferred).
Active participation in Bitcoin, Ethereum, blockchain projects, or the open-source community is highly desirable (preferred).

Benefits

Annual base salary range of $180,000 to $300,000 USD for US-based candidates, depending on experience, skill, and location.
