Description

  • Oversee QA and testing activities for IT product development.
  • Lead project estimation, requirements analysis, and resource allocation for testing work.
  • Facilitate new feature discussions, prioritize testing tasks, and manage defect triage.
  • Establish and improve QA procedures, standards, and testing policies.
  • Define test coverage, scope, limitations, and testing strategy for QA efforts.
  • Track, analyze, and report on testing progress, results, coverage, resources, and defects.
  • Lead and mentor QA team members, including feedback, motivation, and performance guidance.
  • Conduct screening and interviews for QA candidates.
  • Define, monitor, and report QA KPIs such as defect escape rate, MTTD/MTTR, and test coverage.
  • Explore and help integrate emerging technologies and innovative solutions into QA and operational processes.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, including at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong experience leading QA teams across web-based enterprise applications.
  • Proven expertise with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD environments such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
  • Strong understanding of test strategy development, test planning, estimation, and risk-based testing.
  • Experience managing functional, regression, performance, security, and API testing initiatives.
  • Proficiency in API testing and performance testing tools.
  • Experience working with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies and participation in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management.
  • Experience defining and tracking QA KPIs such as defect escape rate, test coverage, MTTD, and MTTR.
  • Ability to review system architecture and collaborate with Engineering teams on quality improvements.
  • Experience recruiting, mentoring, and performance managing QA engineers.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret testing data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Quick learner with the ability to develop subject matter expertise.
  • Availability for scheduled and ad-hoc calls, meetings, and chats during weekdays.
  • Quiet workspace suitable for video meetings and calls.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection with at least 25 Mbps.
  • Double monitors preferred but not required if available.
