Description

Draft, format, and finalise engineering documents such as process descriptions, operating and maintenance manuals, safety protocols, and technical specifications for tender.
Produce accurate technical drawings using CAD software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
Support the development of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for NPI utility systems including water, fuel, air, and lubrication facilities.
Collaborate with senior engineers to translate conceptual designs into detailed, construction-ready blueprints.
Maintain accurate records in the document control system and handle document formatting in Word and Excel.
Support mining infrastructure projects through all phases of the project lifecycle, including PFS, DES, FEED, and Detailed Design.
Assist in developing tender packages and construction-ready documentation.
Track project changes and ensure design continuity across project phases to reduce redesign and scope creep.
Ensure early project assumptions align with final engineering outcomes.

Requirements

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Drafting, or a related field.
Minimum 2+ years of experience in a drafting or engineering role, preferably in mining, heavy industry, or NPI sectors.
Advanced skills in AutoCAD (2D/3D) and Revit.
Proficiency in Navisworks and demonstrated experience creating P&IDs and PFDs is a strong advantage.
Excellent technical writing skills with the ability to produce clear, compliant tender documents and engineering reports.
Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
Excellent English writing and speaking skills.
Eager to learn, motivated, and open to problem-solving new challenges.
Ability to work independently and take initiative with strong problem-solving skills.
Experience with Australian WA mining standards or Non-Process Infrastructure is a huge bonus.
Background in modular and scalable infrastructure design is preferred.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Teams is preferred.
