Description

  • Own the documentation site as software, including the docs-as-code repository, CI/CD publishing pipelines, build performance, and automated quality checks.
  • Build and improve AI-augmented documentation workflows, including drafting, summarization, classification, consistency checks, and staleness detection.
  • Develop documentation structures and interfaces that make content reliably consumable by AI systems and agents.
  • Generate reference documentation from source specifications such as OpenAPI and keep documentation aligned with platform code changes.
  • Reduce friction for internal contributors by improving the docs-as-code workflow and automating repetitive documentation tasks.
  • Own the release notes and customer communications process for each platform release.
  • Run SME review for release notes and other customer-facing documentation to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Own the documentation style guide, review-and-publish gate, and team runbook.
  • Lead documentation improvements rather than only maintaining existing processes.
  • Help ensure documentation quality, publishing, and AI-readiness across the function.

Requirements

  • 5+ years owning documentation tooling, content engineering, or developer documentation for a developer platform or enterprise B2B product.
  • Engineering ability in a scripting or web stack such as Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
  • Strong experience with docs-as-code workflows, including Git, pull-request review, CI/CD, and static-site or CMS publishing pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience building AI-augmented or LLM-backed workflows, including integrating LLM APIs and structuring content for AI consumption.
  • Ability to read and reason about a real codebase and API surface well enough to document it accurately and build tooling against it.
  • Strong editorial judgment and the ability to turn dense engineering changes into clear, correct, customer-safe documentation.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Preferred: experience making documentation consumable by AI agents, including llms.txt, content negotiation, RAG pipelines, or MCP servers.
  • Preferred: experience in BioPharma, scientific software, or regulated and validated GxP environments.
  • Preferred: experience generating reference documentation from OpenAPI or related specifications with two-way Git sync.
  • Preferred: developer-relations or developer-education experience.
