Description

  • Own pragmatic architecture standards, patterns, and a roadmap that fit a lean, delivery-focused environment.
  • Design and implement end-to-end solutions across collaboration/productivity, identity, endpoints, networking, line-of-business applications, and cloud services.
  • Build integrations across SaaS, on-prem, and cloud platforms using APIs, SSO, webhooks, and practical integration patterns.
  • Deliver automation using PowerShell, APIs, low-code tools, and AI-assisted development with peer review, testing, and appropriate data-handling controls.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate needs into requirements, present options, and communicate trade-offs clearly.
  • Work with the technology team to execute executive leadership’s AI and technology vision via usable platforms, guardrails, and enablement.
  • Own security-by-design fundamentals including identity/access controls, baselines, logging/monitoring, and data protection.
  • Lead vendor evaluations and manage key projects through implementation and operational transition while maintaining core documentation, runbooks, and governance (e.g., M365 collaboration governance).
  • Mentor teammates and raise the baseline through standards, templates, and automation; build lightweight operational practices that scale.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive IT experience.
  • Excellent communication and business-partnering skills to define requirements, set expectations, and explain trade-offs in plain language.
  • Strong automation and scripting experience with PowerShell (advanced scripting, modules, error handling, secure credential handling).
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Graph and other REST APIs, OAuth/OIDC, SAML, webhooks, and service accounts/service principals.
  • Deep experience with identity and access management (Entra ID/Azure AD, SSO, Conditional Access, MFA, privileged access, RBAC/ABAC).
  • Practical experience with Microsoft 365 platforms including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Intune, Purview, Microsoft Defender (Office 365 and Endpoint), and Power Platform.
  • Security-first experience implementing core controls where there is no separate security team (least privilege, baselines, patching strategy, endpoint controls, logging/alerting, data protection).
  • Experience integrating SaaS and line-of-business platforms, coordinating with vendors, and designing hybrid/migration programs (tenant-to-tenant, mergers/acquisitions, legacy modernization).
  • Familiarity with ITSM processes (incident, problem, change) and building lightweight operational practices that scale.
  • Preferred: experience using AI-assisted development tools and low-code automation (e.g., Claude, Power Automate) and authoring operational runbooks.
