Description

  • Prepare payroll-related journal entries and record them in NetSuite.
  • Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations in Blackline and resolve variances within 30 days.
  • Reconcile and record payroll-related cash transactions accurately.
  • Prepare monthly payroll accrual and actual payroll expense load files for the GL accounting team.
  • Process biweekly Canadian payroll for two legal entities in compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Reconcile monthly benefits billing statements to internal payroll records and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support year-end reconciliations, compliance reviews, and internal audit initiatives.
  • Contribute quickly in a temporary role with minimal ramp-up and support cross-functional payroll accounting needs.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in payroll accounting.
  • Experience spanning payroll operations and general ledger accounting.
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite and/or Blackline, or similar ERP and reconciliation platforms.
  • Strong understanding of payroll compliance, including US federal and state requirements.
  • Canadian payroll experience is a strong plus.
  • Ability to work independently in a new environment with minimal ramp-up time.
  • Meticulous attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Clear communication skills for responding to cross-functional requests quickly and professionally.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • CPA or CPP designation is a plus.
  • Must be located in eastern or central time zones to align with team working hours.
