Description

  • Oversee the revenue accounting team responsible for Angi’s domestic revenue recognition accounting.
  • Lead monthly reviews of revenue and deferred revenue accounting, including journal entry and account reconciliation approval.
  • Assess credit loss reserves to ensure timely and appropriate recognition.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of revenue accountants to maintain high performance.
  • Foster collaboration across accounting, finance, product, analytics, and other departments.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain corporate revenue accounting policies.
  • Manage controls documentation and process flowcharts for the end-to-end revenue cycle in alignment with SOX requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits by serving as a primary contact for revenue-related inquiries and documentation.
  • Evaluate new and evolving service offerings with Product and assess revenue recognition implications.
  • Partner with Analytics and Finance to troubleshoot issues, test system enhancements, and improve automation and reporting accuracy.
  • Provide guidance and training on revenue accounting standards and compliance across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of revenue accounting experience, ideally within a publicly traded tech company.
  • At least 2 years of management experience.
  • Earlier public accounting experience is a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Ability to foster collaboration across departments.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information to stakeholders at all levels, including executives.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience with NetSuite preferred.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, ClaudeCowork, or similar in a professional accounting context.
  • Ability to evaluate AI-generated outputs critically.
