Description

  • Support the execution of wind tunnel testing programs, including installation of test assets and data acquisition systems.
  • Maintain and ensure the calibration and readiness of the wind tunnel and associated instrumentation.
  • Maintain lab spaces to a high level of organization and professionalism.
  • Promote lab safety training and processes and foster a safety-first culture.
  • Travel to test sites and remote labs as needed.
  • Manage the inner workings of the test wind tunnel and support large capital equipment.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to execute testing in a fast-paced development environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in an engineering technician capacity or similar.
  • Hands-on experience operating different wind tunnels, including open-circuit, closed-circuit, subsonic, and blowdown systems.
  • Hands-on experience with aerodynamic sensors such as pitot tubes, PIV systems, and force balances.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding, flexible team environment.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
  • Familiarity with NI data acquisition system setup and collection, plus LabVIEW and Flexlogger software (preferred).
  • Demonstrated drive and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams (preferred).
